How I wish I saw my friend’s copy of The Big Bang Theory first before someone suggested me this series. It’s not that worthy being 20 episodes.
I actually like the story. It’s unique. The actors are all beautiful and new to my eyes. It could have been perfect, it would have been memorable if this was a movie.
But you know, plot wise, the story’s too draggy that it gets boring as it continues, just like any Kdrama passing 15 - 20 episodes. It became too repetitive.
The two discovered their parents’ past and it keeps getting better since the struggle of hiding their true feelings became inevitable.
But they don’t have to be like “I don’t want to see you” “Fine [utterly confused anyway]” and when they bumped into each other they’ll say “I can’t do it” and on the next episode, it’ll happen again. Predictable. Also their parents keep on seeing each other in almost all episodes. Why can’t they just talk in one episode telling all their “what ifs”. It’s never been their story anymore anyway.
Also it took at least 3 to 4 episodes before one of their parents found out. It took at least 1 episode before another problem came out. The only favorable scenes to me are the opening and the closing scenes in each episode. If you put all of it in such few episodes then it would have been better. Short but well made.
I hope Kdrama stop putting unnecessary scenes and go for the bloody point.
It has a lot of potential but I don’t think it’s worth the hype.
The reason why I am annoyed each time the old couple talk is because they talk way too slow. Ha Na’s mother is too calmed that even her shocking make face doesn’t make any impact. She’s just too dull.
I sometimes judged my friend’s choice of good dramas because she said this is so good. This is good from Episode 3 - (until Joon’s struggles) and 17 - 20 maybe? It’s more of the fangirling than actually watching. Not my forte.
I started watching since last month and until now I still can’t finish it. Life.
