It's only now they realize they liked the mature Mesut who wanted to marry and didn't party. Fangirls always hate the girlfriend. They also want him to be a virgin because they don't want to imagine him with anyone else. You touch on a symptom of this fascination - the ever more absurd fiction on his tag: the type of personal imaginings (involving the writer) that should be kept in private journals.

I think that Ana Maria’s past relationship with Mesut’s teammate in Bremen is one of reason why they don’t like her or probably because she became Mesut’s fiancé too soon. I am never against her, but the idea of marrying her right after her divorce is a bit off.
I agree! and besides, Mesut’s typical girls are quite a shocker! Given his shy type and mature look, he likes girls with big boobs and much older than he is. He’s also into the celebrity type or at least someone related to the job.
I thought those imagines are normal in such fan base with girls as majority of the audience. I never find it weird if it’s Justin Bieber or any member of One Direction (Some of them were really hilarious!) But with a player, I find it really absurd, especially because their job isn’t to please women anyway.

I just realized that Mesut Ozil is becoming more and more famous outside of his craft.
His tags are filled with rumors regarding his personal life and fangirls dying to kill the girl he’s dating or anyone who agree in benching him. Tons of “Imagine Mesut..” and Fanfiction which I found absurd to imagine for my favorite football player.
Don’t get me wrong, in my perspective of good looks, Mes isn’t one. But for me, he looks good because he plays good.
Ana Maria should have stayed longer with him because in those days I can still see the more mature Mesut who just wants to settle down.
Stop thinking about whatever happened between him and that girl. Mesut for sure, isn’t a virgin anymore. Deal with that. Although I always see him a little too shy in which didn’t compromise to most of his rumors and to his typical hookup partner. Hahaha! XD
